WG4 Meeting at Aalto University, Finland

The annual meeting of the Working Group 4 (WG4) of the COST Action Nanoscale Quantum Optics (NQO) will take place on September 26^th and 27^th, 2017 at the campus of Aalto University near Helsinki, Finland. The WG4 of the COST Action aims to investigate cooperative effects, correlations, and many-body physics tailored by strongly confined fields in nanoscale optical systems. The topics addressed by WG4 and at this meeting include

• Numerical methods for (open) many-body systems
• Atom-light interactions in 1D waveguides
• Quantum Plasmonics
• Collective effects & phase transitions in cavity QED
• Optomechanical effects at the nanoscale

The meeting will offer an opportunity for the participants to discuss their most recent research with others and to plan and coordinate future collaborations and events within the COST network.
